Incredible show with Taking Back Sunday
I drove four hours to get to this show and paid the full ticket price. Even though the venue itself wasn't the most amazing place I'd ever been, seeing Jim Brickman more than made up for it. Without a doubt, this is one of my favorite bands and my favorite band to see live. They put on such a great show, making sure their fans have a great time. They really enjoy playing their music, and you can tell they are actually friends from their banter and actions onstage. They play a great mix of old and new music, and they look good doing it, I have to say. Adam Lazzara was up to his old habits of microphone swinging, which I can never get enough of, and the rest of the guys put on one heck of a show too.
It's worth it simply to see the smiles on the faces of the band members when Adam lets the crowd finish his lyrics and 500 people sing his words back to him. The show of emotions onstage, and then shared by the audience, is something that a lot of bands these days can no longer accomplish, or just maybe don't want to. Overall, even if you are only a semi-fan or neutral on the music of Jim Brickman, I would strongly recommend going to one of their shows.
